Over the weekend our Chapter Brother Bertrand R. Perdomo-Uclés was elected as a Delegate AND as the Executive Board Representative for California's 59th Assembly District.
We're very happy for him as he embarks on this new chapter.

OG kicks off Recruitment Week with Beach Clean-Up!

This Sunday kicked off the first event of Omega Gamma's Recruitment Week! Partnering with Heal the Bay, OG and a few interests helped out to clean up the area of Venice Beach. This marks the beginning of recruitment week which also includes: Informational, Runyon Canyon Hike, Laser Tag and dinner at McCormick and Schmick's.
Raul Alcantar, finalist for T-Howard Foundation Program!

Our very own Raul Alcantar has been selected as a finalist in the T. Howard Foundation program. As a finalist, the foundation will assist and support Raul in obtaining a summer internship in the Film and Entertainment industries, flying to Maryland for Orientation.

Eric Ochoa has been selected as a Global Fellow scholar, allowing him to intern in Shanghai, China for an 8-week program this Summer! The USC Global Fellows Internship Program strives to strengthen the bonds of understanding between the United States and other countries.
Represent us well brother and good luck again!
Omega Gamma serenade as Cupids for A Beta Valentine!

The Oh So Clean Gentlemen of Omega Gamma go around USC's campus on Valentine's Eve as part of their First Annual: A Beta Valentine event. Going around campus (and off-campus), they delivered Valentine grams and bags of chocolate, serving as modern-day Cupids for the night.
Congrats to Albert Madrigal for passing CSET test, ready for TFA.

The CSET is a required exam for all California teachers in the state. Teach for America is an AmeriCorps company that places college students that are top of their class in high need regions. Albert will be teaching elementary school students as an ESL bilingual educator.

Omega Gamma Provides a Night Full of Excitement at 3rd Annual Latin Dance Night!

The brothers of the Omega Gamma chapter livened up the Friday evening with our 3rd Annual Latin Dance Night! With professional dancers providing basic bachata and salsa lessons in the first half and a free-form open dance floor for the second half, the night was full of great music, great food, and great people.

From March 28th through April 4th, the Omega Gamma chapter of Sigma Lambda Beta International Fraternity, Inc. highlighted various issues which use the color purple as a symbol to raise awareness. Through panels discussions, presentations, and thought-provoking dialogue, the 3 events in the series focused on: Homelessness, Alzheimer's Disease and Cancer survivors.

Eric Ochoa, Fall Chapter President, will be interning for the Finance Optimization Team at Sony Pictures in Culver City! Eric will be working closely with one of the project managers to facilitate different processes within the company by creating multiple reports to measure different metrics within the company to gauge performance and find ways to optimize efficiency.
